LWD

Hello everyone! I hope you all had a great week.

I’m so excited to show you my new dress from Zara. I promised myself I wouldn’t do any shopping until I started working, but as a little present to myself for finding a job, I broke my promise. Totally worth it though. Zara is having a huge sale to make room for their new Fall/Winter ’13 collection, so I was able to grab this dress for only $20! The detailing on it is so pretty, and I thought it was such a unique twist on a LWD (Little White Dress).

While running errands during the day, I wore the dress with neutral toned sandals, orange chandelier earrings, gold bangles, and threw my hair up in a messy bun.  That night I went out with some friends, both old and new, to this amazing restaurant called Michy’s. Normally we wouldn’t be able to afford going there, but they were participating in Miami Spice. This allowed us to enjoy the most delicious food I’ve ever tasted in my life (including octopus) at a much lower price-point! Unbelievable. If you’re in the area, I highly recommend going.

To get ready for the evening, I thought about changing into another dress, but I liked the challenge of taking the dress from day to night. I traded my sandals for black lace pumps, my orange earrings for gold dangles, my cross body bag for a clutch, and added a black belt around my waist. I let down my hair and gave them some curls, and I pumped up my eyes with a little more color and eyeliner to make them pop. Success! This LWD can totally pull off both day and night looks.
